In recent days and weeks the Washington State soccer scene has seen the arrival of four new websites.
Further, the site www.sportsfangraph.com shows us how our clubs rank in social media in North America.
Which local clubs are you connected with?
How do Washington’s soccer clubs rank in social media popularity in North America? www.SportsFanGraph.com tabulates Twitter followers and Facebook friends into tables the viewer can adjust by sport and region. When the reader selects soccer / North America you might be surprised to find that our Seattle Sounders FC are ranked 6th with over 280,327 connected. The Mexico National Team is number one with over 1,176,382 in the latest update. Even more astonishing is the #49 placement of Bremerton’s Kitsap Pumas, who are ahead of scores of bigger sides from the continent.
The real local movers are the Sounders Women. They don’t yet appear in the rankings but they will with the next update. The Women have bolted out to over 3,500 Facebook ”likes” and 1,800 Twitter followers since the news of big signings such as Hope Solo and Alex Morgan. The Women will be in the top 50 when the site updates its stats.
Three clubs and Washington Youth Soccer have debuted new websites in the last few days / weeks. See the screen caps below which are clickable and will lead you over to check out these new websites.
