Sounders U23 will play two matches at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma

Tacoma, WA. – The Seattle Sounders U-23 have officially released season tickets and the 2012 home Schedule.

Soccer returns to baseball’s Cheney Stadium for the first time since the 1970′s as two matches are scheduled at the baseball venue.

The Sounders U-23 will play 8 PDL, Regular Season matches in addition to multiple preseason games. All home games will be played in the South Puget Sound. The home schedule kicks off on May 25 against the Victoria Highlanders.

For the 2012 Season, the Sounders U-23 will partner with local youth clubs and showcase the team at various locations in the South Puget Sound. Home venues include Franklin Pierce High School and Cheney Stadium.

Baseball gives way to soccer this season as the sport returns to Cheney for the first time since 1976.

Cheney Stadium will host two matches for the 2012 calendar. The first ever Cheney Stadium soccer game will be played on May 30 with the Sounders U-23 matching up against the Vancouver Whitecaps. The second Cheney matchup will be against local PDL rivals, the Kitsap Pumas, on June 15.

Season ticket packages start at just $80 for the entire year. This package includes priority purchasing to any post season matches and a 20% discount to those playoff games tickets. These tickets also include a discount over single match tickets.

Franklin Pierce HS Stadium will host 5 U23 matches.

Fans also have the option of buying a Season Ticket PLUS package for $100. This VIP package includes premium entertainment for the two games played at Cheney Stadium. Season Tick Plus members will get food and refreshments along with premium seating for the historic events.
