KingCo Tournament: Issaquah tops Redmond in penalty shootout

A dramatic KingCo 4A tournament match went to penalty kicks after Issaquah and Redmond had played to a 1:1 draw. Dale Garvey was at the match and shares photos of the drama.

In regulation the Redmond Mustangs got a goal from Andrew Leadbeater with an assist from Cooper Bilginer. The Issaquah Eagles scored on a penalty kick conversion by Drew Tacher.

The schools played two quick five-minute overtime sessions before the match went to penalty kicks.

In the pk round the Eagles scored four goals to eventually advance in the winners bracket of tournament, which decides placement for district playoffs.

Earlier in the season the Eagles had edged the Mustangs, 1:0.
