Soccer Fix: Eleven home matches this week around greater Puget Sound

Feel like getting out and watching some high quality local soccer?

This is the week for you!

The greater Puget Sound area will see eleven home matches hosted by eight clubs from six different leagues between Wednesday and Sunday.

The fun begins on Wednesday May 30th when Major League Soccer’s Sounders FC host a US Open Cup match at Starfire against the NASL Atlanta Silverbacks. That same night in Tacoma the Sounders U-23 of the PDL will host the Vancouver Whitecaps U-23 at baseball’s Cheney Stadium. Meanwhile, over in Redmond Washington Crossfire will host the defending national champion PDL Kitsap Pumas.

Thursday the Sounders Women of the W-League have the night to themselves as they host the Colorado Rush at Starfire.

Friday the Issaquah Soccer Club plays its second WPSL match ever when it hosts the Portland Rain at Skyline HS. Up in Edmonds the North Sound SeaWolves open up their home PDL calendar by hosting Washington Crossfire. The Sounders Reserves of MLS host the Vancouver Whitecaps Reserves at 6PM at Starfire.

Saturday the Rain stays around and invades Interbay Stadium as the WPSL Emerald City FC host their second match. In Tumwater the Sounders U-23 host the Portland Timbers U-23 in PDL play.

Sunday the Kitsap Pumas are across the Sound once more, this time in Edmonds to play the SeaWolves. Meanwhile up north in Bellingham the Hammers of United are hosting Khalsa Sporting at Civic Stadium.
