Video Buzz: 2012 All Nations Cup underway

“If you still had any doubts about how hyperdiverse the Puget Sound region has become, look no further than the All Nations Cup soccer tournament,” writes Jessica Partnow in the Seattle Globalist.

“Over the next two weeks, 48 teams representing 36 different countries will battle it out at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila. Countries represented this year include El Salvador, Gambia, Iran, Burma, Palestine, Mexico, Colombia, Japan, Cameroon, Ukraine, Bosnia, and England.”

Matches are underway and with an assist from Uninube.com we can share a bit of action in the video below. Visit the ANC Facebook Page here.

Below are the final standings for the qualifying round. The top two in each grouping are alive and advance to the “Group Stage.”

The tournament continues all month. Open Group stage draws can be seen here.

The group stage has matches starting Friday, July 20th. See schedule here.
