TAMPA, Fla. – The PDL is proud to announce its 2012 All-Conference Teams, honoring the players who stood out during the 2012 regular season. The teams were selected through a vote of team management.
Both the Carolina Dynamo and Forest City London, who will meet Saturday night at Macpherson Stadium in Greesnboro, N.C. for the 2012 PDL Championship, are represented on the teams. Carolina defender Sebastian Ibeagha was named to the All-Eastern Conference Team, while FC London forward Jordan Ayris represents the Central Conference Team.
Leading the way with three selections each are Reading United AC of the Eastern Conference, the Michigan Bucks of the Central Conference, and the Austin Aztex of the Southern Conference.
The 2012 All-League Team will be announced on Tuesday, July 31. The finalists for Coach of the Year, Defender of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player will be announced on Wednesday, August 1, with the awards presented at Saturday’s PDL Awards Ceremony in Greensboro.
