Today goalWA.net reveals the top 12 youth soccer crests as chosen by graphics designer Joel DuChesne of the Everett studio of Luminous Creative. In recent weeks clubs nominated their crests to be put in the batch that DuChesne would select from. These 12 will battle it out for the honor of winning the 2012 Korrio Best Crest contest vote from now until the poll closes at midnight on August 31, 2012.
Korrio will be awarding the eventual winning club with a pizza party for 18 members, followed by a Seattle Sounders FC match with www.Korrio.com at CenturyLink Field!
Joel is known in local soccer circles for his retro designs involving the Sounders as well as for being the guy who made the official crests of the Kitsap Pumas and North Sound SeaWolves. Further, Joel is also the designer of the goalWA.net “George” logo!
Congratulations to our 12 Finalists: TC United, Desna, Norpoint, Tynecastle, WestSound FC, Pacific Northwest SC, Washington Premier FC, Spokane United, North Kitsap, Legacy, Orting and Northwest Premier FC!
DuChesne has an eye for simple, classic, unique designs. In the graphic below he gives a few quick notes next to each of the final 12 (in no particular order).
