College Scoreboard: Lots of Friday action on last day of August

August 2012 went out with a blue moon and plenty of college soccer action for schools around the state of Washington. The Wilson Tsoi photos above show both Washington goals as the Husky Women beat LaSalle in Seattle, 2:0.

The Lutes Men of Pacific Lutheran are in Minnesota where they won their season opener. The Huskies of Washington had dual winners as both the women and men remain unbeaten. The Zags also won on both sides. Washington State rallied to win in Southern California. Saint Martin’s men lost by four goals. The Puget Sound men rallied for a 2:2 draw in Minnesota. In Spokane along with the Zags win came Oregon State’s draw with #4 UC Santa Barbara. In Seattle along with the Husky women’s win Portland roughed up Fresno State. In Kirkland Northwest U’s women edged Menlo on an overtime golden goal.
