Picture Perfect: Graphic artist Gerald Pearson makes a Sounders flag

Seattle soccer fans could hardly wait for the debut of the Sounders into Major League Soccer back in 2009. One way to pass the time was to get ready for matches by creating color. Graphic artist Gerald Pearson did just that by designing and then painting the flag below to honor what was then a new club.

  1. Thanks for the article. For fun i searched my name under images on Bing and found this. I Did the flag for the Sounders inaugural season. there was a contest to design a flag. i got third place.
