Seattle soccer fans could hardly wait for the debut of the Sounders into Major League Soccer back in 2009. One way to pass the time was to get ready for matches by creating color. Graphic artist Gerald Pearson did just that by designing and then painting the flag below to honor what was then a new club.
We found these shots in the goalWA.net archive and are publishing them all now for the first time.
Have you ever seen this flag at a match?
Scope out soccerpro.com for some great prices on soccer jerseys. And don't forget, we've got some sweet indoor soccer shoes for any player too.
