The Seattle Pacific University Falcons Men will take a tumble from their number three national ranking after they were whipped 5:1 on Thursday night by the Clan of Simon Fraser up in BC.
“Simon Fraser deserves all the credit. We got beat by a better team tonight,” said SPU coach Mark Collings in the school match report. “They played really well, they wanted it a lot more than we did.”
The Falcons Women drew 1:1 in Western Oregon.
The Gonzaga Men traveled to Portland and dropped a 4:1 decision to the Pilots in conference play. The Zags Women host Nevada State Sunday morning at 11:00 AM.
In Bellingham the Western Washington Vikings Men beat St. Martin’s 4:1. The WWU Women shut out Northwest Nazarene 4:0.
Concordia shut out the Evergreen State Men 2:0 in a battle for first place in the CCC.
The Saints Women of St. Martin’s edged Central Washington 3:2 in Lacey.
On Tuesday the Northwest Eagles Men lost 1:0 at Warner Pacific. The Eagles Women play two this weekend in Oregon.
Big Pirates weekend in Spokane
It’s a huge home weekend for Spokane’s Whitworth Pirates. The nationally-ranked Men go up against Puget Sound rivals UPS and PLU. The NWC first-place Pirates Women host their counterparts.
The Whitman Missionaries will host the same schools in Walla Walla.
Home and Away for Redhawks
The Seattle University Redhawks open conference play at home on Sunday against San Jose State.
The Redhawks Women are in Texas to open their conference slate with two matches.
Washington starts Pac-12 Play
The Husky Women are away at Colorado and Utah to start Pac-12 play this weekend.
The Husky Men host Oregon State on Sunday at 4 PM.
