WASHOUGAL, Wash.—Northwest Christian High School forward Jacob Weaver scored a hat trick (three goals) on Friday night as his Crusaders scored a dramatic 5-4 win over the Riverside Christian Cougars. Weaver now has 41 goals and 12 assists for a total of 94 points for the season, both state 1B/2B records. 2012 State assist leader Austin Friedly scored the match-winning goal with five minutes left for NWCHS. Friedly had two goals in the match and assisted on all three Weaver goals.

According to website Washington Soccer Central, which covers this level of high school soccer, the previous record for most goals was jointly held by Mark Phillips (Bear Creek) and Jacob Zimmer (Tacoma Baptist) whom both scored 40 goals in 2011. Zimmer also held the previous record for most points (two for a goal, one for each assist) at 93, set in 2011.
