SEATTLE, Wash.— Crossfire Premier goalkeeper Emily Boyd (Nathan Hale High School) is down in Chula Vista California now after having been called in to US National U-18 training. goalWA.net featured a story in August of 2011 during one of Boyd’s earlier training call-ups.
The Boyd family has another local player of note. Emily’s older sister Molly is a center back for the University of Washington Huskies. Emily has committed to Cal (Berkeley).
Boyd’s Top Drawer Soccer page boasts a 4/5 star ranking for the young ‘keeper. The website goes on to put Emily in the top ten of players to watch in our region for the 2011-2015 graduating classes (High School).

CHICAGO, Ill. – The U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team will come together from Oct. 21-28 at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., for the third and final training camp of the year for this age group.
U.S. Soccer Women’s Technical Director April Heinrichs has called up 24 players for the training camp, all born in 1996, as this age group represents the first event for the next cycle of the U-18s (the previous two U-18 training camps this year consisted mostly of players born in 1994). The cut-off for the next FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup is players born on or after Jan. 1, 1994, so this current group of U-18s is mostly focused on the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The U.S. U-18s will face the San Diego SeaLions of the WPSL on Saturday, October 27, at 4 p.m. PT.
