The Loggers (10-4-1, 9-2-1 NWC) controlled possession early and held it for most of the match, finishing with a 24-4 shot advantage. In the first half alone, the Loggers built a 15-2 shot advantage. Kara Merfeld needed to make just one save in the shutout.

After over 40 minutes of keeping the Loggers out of the net, Rosenberg finally broke through. Her goal came at the 41:13 mark on assists from Kylie Beeson and Sierra Grunwald.

In the 59th minute, Amalia Acorda-Fey scored unassisted for her seventh goal of the season to give the Loggers a 2:0 lead. She drove down the left side and curled a shot up and over the Lute keeper. Theresa Henle all but the match away when she headed in a cross from Jordyn McLuen in the 82nd minute.

Marisa Gonzalez made eight saves in the contest for the Lutes (4-4-7, 2-4-7 NWC) but the persistent Logger attack proved to be too much to handle as they broke through for the trio of goals and extended an unbeaten streak to 29 matches against the Lutes.

The Loggers find themselves in a must-win situation, heading into the final four matches of the season. They trail Whitworth and Linfield by two points in the standings with all three teams having played 12 matches so far.

The Loggers head to George Fox this Sunday for a noon match. They will be play three matches in the final week of the season as the Loggers and Whitworth rescheduled their postponed match for 2 p.m. at Central Washington.
