LAGRANDE, Ore. - Winning the 2012 Cascade Collegiate Conference championship has earned Northwest University women’s soccer coach, Erin Redwine, the Coach of the Year award as voted by her fellow coaches. This is the second consecutive year for Redwine being honored for the award as she was also voted CCC co-Coach of the Year last season.
In addition, seven Eagles were named to the All-CCC first team, second team and honorable mention honors.
Senior Stephanie Cummins of Renton, Wash., was also named co-Defensive Player of the Year along with Jenna Peterson from Concordia.
First team selections were: Stephanie Cummins, senior (Def.), Jessica Oliver, Jr. (MF), North Bend, Wash., and Acacia Johnson, Soph. (F), Puyallup, Wash.
Second team honors went to Patty Hughes, Soph. (GK), Kalispell, Mont., and Hannah Reeser, Sr. (Def.), Issaquah, Wash.
Honorable Mention honors: Samantha Porter, Fresh. (Def.), Gresham, Ore., and Shea Samuelsen, Soph. (MF), Woodinville, Wash.
