Montero tweets goodbye, Verdu may visit after all
Joan Verdu could visit soon to check out the Sounders.
In the ever-changing world of off-season soccer rumors, we have had some new developments today.
Fredy Montero has tweeted his goodbye to Seattle and Sounders fans, (see below) while Joan Verdu may yet be a possible target for the Sounders.
The Montero deal should be officially announced tomorrow (January 10) when Fredy shows up at the start of Millionarios training.
Verdu has been a rumored Sounders target since last July, but has until now been hesitant to even come to Seattle to check out the Sounders operations. That appears to have changed.
