Italian press for AC Seattle

AC Seattle is getting press from the ‘homeland.’ Today the new women’s soccer club based in Seattle but stocked with Italian players is featured in this article originally published in La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Part of the translation makes clear an awkward side note: “(Seattle is the) Sister city of Perugia. Perhaps for this reason it was chosen by Amanda Knox for her university studies.”  Reference to the Seattle native aside, the article does focus on the novel connections of bringing players to the United States, where it is assumed by the Italians that our third division will challenge.
