LOGO WARS continues this week on goalWA.net as we reach the final four crests in the state of Washington! Along the way in our elite eight the voting produced the first ‘upsets’ of top seeds falling to lower seeds.
The number three seed Seattle Reign FC, who have yet to play a match as a new club in the new NWSL, were no match for the ardent fans of Bellingham United. Hammers supporters got out the vote and their club crest is in the final four. Same goes for South Sound Shock FC, who kicked out their neighbors the Tacoma Stars, who had the oldest logo in the competition. The Stars’ classic MISL look debuted back in 1983.
You can see the final elite eight poll results by going to that voting page.
Now we are on the to final four, and a format change. Polls are open TODAY only! This means you’ve got until 11:59 PM TONIGHT to vote and get out the vote for your two favorites: Seattle Sounders FC v. Kitsap Pumas and Bellingham United FC v. South Sound Shock FC!
