SAN DIEGO, CA— The South Sound Shock made it to the semifinals of the PASL Premier National Championships before a Blizzard halted their run. The Colorado Blizzard, to be exact.
The Shock beat the Las Vegas Knights 4:1 on Monday to advance to the semifinals. Goals came from Nate Ford, Lukas Rydberg, Joe Snow, and Derek Johnson. Assists came from Joe Snow, Nate Ford, Derek Johnson and Christopher Kintz.
Matched up against the Colorado Blizzard South Sound never got much going and suffered a 6:0 shutout that ends their season.
The Shock finish the season with an overall record of 9 wins, 2 draws and the single loss to Colorado.
“It was a great season with a great group of guys and we just didn’t have it this game,” said manager John Crouch. “Thanks everyone for the support this season!”
On Sunday the Shock posted a win and draw to set up Monday’s pairings.
The Blizzard will face Bladium Rosal in the PASL Premier final on Monday night.

Nice run to make it to semifinal. It’s too bad that Shock’s single and only loss ended their season. Congrats, John!
How did Chris Kintz play? He wasn’t on their roster all year…..
I was on the roster for the league minimum two games during the regular season .
Congratulations! I am totally proud of the Shock for giving it their all. Jolly good show. Get some rest Byron, and have a fish taco for me!
