The STATE of Soccer in WASHINGTON
Recent days have been exceedingly difficult for those who knew and loved McKenzie Mott. The 15-year old was one of two killed in a car wreck on October 5th in Spokane. McKenzie played for FC Spokane and University High. In the days since the tragedy Spokane has rallied around the families. The FC Spokane Facebook page has reflections and posts. A YouTube tribute has been made. (See below.)
The U-High Facebook page is active with memorials.

We are so blessed to be a part of this community.”
Photographer Erik Smith had the opportunity to capture Mott on the soccer pitch during her career, and he created the montage above in her memory.
