Tacoma Stars postponed Sunday after two road losses

The Tacoma Stars were scheduled to play in Anaheim against the Bolts on Sunday night, but the arena had other plans.

The Tacoma Stars got into a genuine south of the border shootout on Friday night when they fell to Revolucion Tijuana 13:10.

Amos Freiheit scored twice in Mexico, but the Stars spread the scoring out as nine different players notched goals.

The very next night Tacoma headed north to play the reigning PASL Champion San Diego Sockers. Tacoma fell to San Diego 8:3. The Stars wore new 2011-12 orange away kits.

The Sockers allowed a season-low three goals and PASL MVP Kraig Chiles reached 100 career points with a two goal, three assist effort. The Sockers won their thirteenth straight PASL regular season game and eighteen consecutive game overall, while improving their all-time record at the Del Mar Arena to 27-0.

A chance at redemption was taken away on Sunday when the Stars’ match in Anaheim against the Bolts was postponed due to arena equipment issues.

Tacoma stands at 3-5 on the season, 5th in the six-team West. The Stars next play an exhibition match in Bremerton against the Kitsap Pumas before returning to Starfire for two league matches against the high-flying San Diego Sockers. (January)

  1. the game with Kitsap has been planned to be rescheduled. Waiting on the league rescheduling the Anehiem disaster to see available dates. Hopefully will still happen at some time this season.
