There was plenty of drama in the WPSL as the regular season closed out. The Spokane Shine won two matches to finish 6-2-2 and take the division and a playoff spot. The two first-year Seattle area sides battled in a derby over the final week, coming away with just two points each from two 1:1 draws. Still, the state of Washington matched the PDL output in this league as well, putting three of four clubs in the top four. The Shine will travel to San Diego where they will play the host SeaLions in the opening conference semifinal match at 5:00 pm PT July 21. San Diego won the Pacific-South Division with a 5-1-0 record, outscoring their opponents 20-3.
