BREMERTON, Wash.—The first day of Kitsap Pumas open tryouts ahead of the 2013 season took place on Saturday February 9 at Gordon Field, future home of the club.

The bleachers from Memorial Stadium were placed on Fairgrounds property, awaiting the time they will surround the pitch for league matches. Meanwhile, over 40 hopefuls tried to impress the Pumas staff.

Pumas supporter Chris Dixon interviewed trialist Ben Gardea  in the video below. The center back / holding midfielder is originally from Memphis.

Among the trialists was Scot Craig McStay, who was connected with the Pumas a few years ago, but never played for the club. A group from Evergreen State University, some who also play for the PASL Tumwater Pioneers, were also there. Indoor Player of the Week Kevin Flavin among them.
