SEATTLE, WA— After giving up an early goal, UW women’s soccer beat No. 19 Arizona St. 2-1 Friday night at Husky Soccer Field behind Becca Schoales’ 83rd minute game-winner and Kate Bennett’s fifth goal of the season.
“This feels really good because the Pac-12 is so open right now,” Schoales said. “We are just trying to inch our way up and this win goes a long way.”
“If our MO is going to be to score late and win 2-1, I’ll take it,” Washington head coach Lesle Gallimore told the UW Daily. “This team has really shown that they can stay composed, stay calm, and stay in a game for 90 minutes.”
