Jeffers, one of six Washington State (10-4-4, 5-4-2 Pac-12) seniors playing their final regular season match at home, tallied her team-leading fourth goal of the season. The penalty kick was awarded after Nicolle Marlow’s shot was played by a Washington (12-6-2, 5-4-2 Pac-12) defender in the box.

“I really like the way we have played for the last four weeks,” Cougar Head Coach Steve Nugent said. “We responded after going down a goal to our rival and came away with a point. I thought we created more of the quality chances today and look forward to our season continuing next week in the NCAA Tournament.”

Washington State entered the match No. 18 in the NCAA RPI and expects to hear its name called when the Division I Soccer Championship selections are announced, Monday. The public is invited to join the team for the selection show in the Rankich Room on the club level of Martin Stadium. The doors open at 1 p.m. and the announcements begin at 1:30 p.m.
