Husky Heartbreak: Dawgs lose late lead, fall out of NCAA’s in penalty kicks

The Washington Husky Men had it all going their way, but they couldn’t keep the lead or the momentum and have been eliminated in penalty kicks by the Michigan State Spartans.

Washington led 2-0 with under 15 minutes to go but surrendered an own goal and then the equalizer with two minutes remaining in regulation.

There were two scoreless ten-minute overtime periods. The Spartans took the penalty kick shootout 4-3.

Washington’s goals came from James Moberg and Steven Wright.
