Nate Ford put Tacoma up early with a goal just one minute in. He hit a rocket across the goal mouth and into the upper left corner. The first quarter wasn’t done until Tacoma went up 2-0. This time the score came from the foot of Joey Gjertsen who launched a sharp shot from the top of the penalty arc.

The Force got back in it at 12 minutes in the second quarter, 2-1. Tacoma responded with two goals, including a mid-range line drive from Cam Vickers that found the inside of the far post. It was 4-1 Stars at the half.

The closest the Force would get the rest of the way was down by two goals, and they made it 4-2 in the third. Chris Raymond came through for Tacoma, pushing the advantage with a goal to make in 5-2. Then Gjertsen got another one to extend the Stars advantage to 6-2 going into the fourth quarter.

The Fourth quarter was a standoff. There was some banging around and even a tussle between the teams. Derek Johnson made no doubt that the Stars would win when he put them up 7-2 with a goal near the end. Olympic answered back with less than a minute to go, but could only make the final 7-3.

The Stars remain unbeaten on the season with two WISL wins and two friendly wins. Tacoma travels to Wenatchee on December 13 to face the Fire at the Wenatchee Valley Sportsplex. The next home match for the Stars in a league encounter on December 20 at 7:30 PM against the Arlington Aviators at the Tacoma Soccer Center.
