New NW Regional Commissioner
This year, the Northwest region will be headed by Macy Jo Harrison of Issaquah Soccer Club. Please help us in welcoming her to her new role with the Women’s Soccer Premier League. She will be in charge of general Northwest region planning and day-to-day business as the Northwest Regional Commissioner.
Macy Jo will be contacting Northwest teams throughout the next few weeks and we hope that you help make this regional commissioner transition as smooth as possible.
Guagni called up to Italian Nats
FC Tacoma’s Alia Guagni was invited to train with the Italian National team last week. In a recent interview, Guagni admitted that she was glad to be called up again by the Nazionale Femminile after some injuries had kept the talented defender out of international play. She was one of 34 players called-up for a training camp in Coverciano from January 11-14.
Guagni has been a part of FC Tacoma’s squad for the past two years and the team hopes that she will be back this summer to join the WPSL Northwest team for the third time. Guagni also plays in the women’s Seria A in Italy with ACF Firenze.
