Josh Phillips (Olympia, WA), Miguel Gonzalez (Yelm, WA) and Daniel Gonzalez (Yelm, WA) are off to the third division and there are more Washington players headed that way in the coming weeks.
Phillips (Gonzaga) and Gonzalez (Peninsula, Seattle U) were announced this week as joining the USL PRO expansion side Colorado Springs Switchbacks. Daniel Gonzalez (yes, they are brothers) (Peninsula College) is off to the OKC Energy.
Randy Meeker looks into the Phillips move in this Sounder At Heart article. Josh has played for the WISL and MASL Tacoma Stars this season, and plans a return after the USL PRO season.
In another local connection, the Energy have also signed Kitsap Pumas player Chuy Sanchez.
Kevin Durr, who the Sounders drafted in 2013, is still hopeful an Air Force career can mesh with a soccer one.
Ramos update: The Spokane native is featured in this stoy about his efforts to stick at MLS Toronto FC.
