A Saturday of successes for Evergreen Premier League clubs (photos, videos)

All over the state of Washington Evergreen Premier League clubs are getting ready for the 2015 season. On Saturday April 4 activities by our clubs only served to prove that we are competing well and building winning cultures.

Saturday April 4, 10 AM
buttonsssfc-500TACOMA,WA— South Sound Football Club held day one of open tryouts at Truman Middle School. The club reports nearly 100 players arrived ready to show what they’ve got. South Sound is now into preparations for the new season. They have also been playing a reserve squad in the Starfire Premier League. On Wednesday April 8 the Shock step up the competition when they travel to Bremerton to face the Kitsap Pumas.

Saturday April 4, 12 Noon
buttonsbufc-clearBELLINGHAM, WA—The Hammers are a model club when it comes to getting out in the community. They were at a grade school earlier in the week. Then on Saturday Mo Mareneh was among the players at a BUFC booth at the local farmer’s market. On Friday the Hammers played their annual Black/White Intrasquad match. They are hosting a Foot Golf event on April 19th. On Saturday April 11 Bellingham United will participate in a tournament with the Kitsap Pumas and Western Washington Vikings.

75tnv2fc-full-color-crestVANCOUVER, WA—Vancouver Victory FC hosted Fuerza FC’s new men’s team in a pre-season friendly, coming out on top in the battle, 3-1. The Victory pulled away in the second half after a 1-1 deadlock. Read the full match report at V2FC.com. Vancouver now gets ready to play the Oregon State Beavers of the Pac-12 Saturday April 11 in Corvallis, Oregon.

buttonOSC - Sheild - Force (PNG) - 600BREMERTON, WA—The Olympic Force played their first outdoor minutes as an EPLWA club in the 1st Annual Kitsap Pumas Spring Challenge. The Force played three 40-minute matches against varying levels of competition, ending undefeated on the day after a 3-0 win over Navy Select, a 1-0 triumph over Peninsula College and an eye-opening 2-2 draw with the professional Kitsap Pumas.

buttonsstars-logo-new-575TUKWILA, WA—Seattle Stars FC continue their winning ways in the Starfire Premier League. This time out the Stars shut out the FC Tacoma Reserves 3-0. The Stars are looking to be vastly improved in 2015. Their SPSL team will be enhanced with the best players from Fuerza FC (see above) in a combined effort to win the league.
