Ruffneck Cup 2015 opens with a 1-1 draw between Washington Crossfire and Puget Sound Gunners

TUKWILA, WA— The 2015 Ruffneck Scarves Cup, which awards 100 Ruffneck Scarves and a trophy to the Puget Sound area PDL club that wins the season series between the four sides, kicked off on Friday at Starfire Sports Stadium as Washington Crossfire and the Puget Sound Gunners played to a 1-1 draw. Both sides now have one point in the Ruffneck Cup table.

The Gunners played with ten men for the last half hour of the match as Kevin Cook was given a second yellow card in the 61st minute.

Washington Crossfire unleashed 16 shots in the contest to just six for Puget Sound. Gunners goalkeeper Shane Haworth was credited with six saves.
