SHORELINE, WA—Men’s Soccer came into their Saturday clash with Edmonds in a similar position to the Women’s team. The Phins trailed Edmonds by 1 point for 3rd place in the North Region. Shoreline was also looking for it’s first win on the season as up to this point the Phins had tied all 6 games to begin the year. The game against the Tritons was all too familiar. Shoreline scored in the 42nd minute with a header from Alec Somers off a beautiful free kick from Kyle Lewis. However, Edmonds answered in the second half to tie the game in the 67th minute. Jerry Reyes-Ortega had another outstanding game in goal for the Phins as he recorded 12 saves on the game.
