Seattle, Vancouver clubs advance in NPSL Open Cup qualifying

Seattle Sporting FC and Spartans FC of Vancouver Washington have advanced to play each other in the NPSL US Open Cup qualifying tournament for the Northwest.

On Saturday Spartans FC drubbed SO Samba FC of Hood River Oregon 6-0 in Portland. (Gallery)

On Sunday night in Seattle Sporting FC edged Inter United FC of Tukwila 1-0. Avimael Castro scored the lone goal in the 13th minute to lead Sporting. (Gallery)

Details will be announced this week in regards to the Sporting-Spartans match, scheduled to take place the weekend of March 15-16.
