“The guys played extremely well today,” commented NU coach, Gary McIntosh. “We faced a good Concordia team with a record of 8-0 ranked 11th in the country and we knew it would be a tough game. The team came out today to win and play as a team and they did just that. I was proud of how we kept possession of the ball and were able to move it around the field to the places we wanted it.” McIntosh continued, “After the first goal we got unorganized on defense and Concordia took of advantage and scored. After that we had more control of the game. The entire game the guys worked hard and put in the effort needed to get the win. We have a team motto, “Play with Resolve”, and we did that today! We can enjoy this win today, but then we get back to work tomorrow as we prepare for College of Idaho.”

Northwest U. will now head to Caldwell, Idaho for a Saturday match-up with the College of Idaho. Concordia will travel to Eugene, Ore., to play Northwest Christian on Saturday night.
