WENATCHEE, WA— Wenatchee FC got their pre-season match schedule rolling on March 28 as they hosted Pinnacles FC of the Pacific Coast Soccer League (PCSL) at Wenatchee Valley Community College. The Capitals won the international friendly 4-0.
WFC head coach Cesar Ceppi says, “Our greatest satisfaction is of technical developments, the tactical and physical improvement of our players … we are starting a job, and we know what it takes … but we have good forecasts for the league.”

Wenatchee split their goals between two returning players and two new ones. Eduardo Perez and Eleazar Galvan scored (now in their second seasons) as did Josh Alvarez and Luis Garcia (new to WFC.)
Ceppi doesn’t want to single out any players for praise at this early stage. “All 19 players played at a good level and the victory is always the result of the whole and not of one or two specific players.”

“There were many different situations in the game that gave perspective for me and my staff … we will keep working, improving the strengths and correcting weaknesses,” says Ceppi.
The Capitals took a recent practice to Quincy so they could interact with Q-Town United, a local youth club. The next pre-season match on their schedule is April 11 when they travel to Kirkland to face Northwest University.
