BELLINGHAM, WA— The Kitsap Pumas are getting ready for their PDL season with a bunch of pre-season matches and tournaments they hope will give them an edge come May. So far the team has struggled to score goals. Not last weekend. They managed seven of them in a single day against the WWU Vikings and Bellingham United.

Kitsap Pumas came away from Saturdays preseason games in Bellingham with two victories, beating Bellingham United 4-2 and Western Washington University 3-0.
All told the Pumas could have netted 8 goals in each game if they were more clinical in front of goal however Assistant Coach Shaun Scobie was pleased with the number of chances created, “We are still early in preseason and to already have the chemistry between the players where we are creating 10 or more clear goalscoring opportunities in games is a good sign. It gives the guys a bit of confidence. We have an excellent squad and they are all hungry to earn a starting spot when the competitive games come around.”
